What are Supplementary Plans?
Supplementary Plans are formal policy documents that add detailed guidance on specific matters, such as design or how particular sites should be used. Introduced to replace older Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs), they are formally part of the development plan, hold significant, legally binding weight in planning decisions and require independent examination before adoption.
These new documents are optional and enable the Local Planning Authority to react and respond positively to unanticipated changes in South Warwickshire.
